BACKGROUND

When “Forsenschool” in Tidaholm, Sweden needed renovation, the local council decided to build a completely new school. Kinnarps task was to supply an interior design which would be suitable for pre-school to ninth class pupils, and which could also be customised for the special needs school, in line with the school’s ambition that every pupil should be allowed to develop from their own starting point. The interior design also had to offer many different functions - for a laboratory and a library to a canteen and a common room - while still offering a total solution.

Inspiration and functionality

This goal was achieved thanks to Kinnarps’ wide range of products for many different environments, and our great experience in creating inspiring and functional total solutions. The designers were involved from an early stage in the process and worked together with the school’s interior design group to create the best possible working environment for both pupils and staff.
